Hold my hand up, I got it wrong! Reserved a BMW 220D Active Tourer by calling the garage. During the conversation I mentioned that my wife wanted the vehicle as she is a childminder, left a £100 deposit and told him that I was travelling up from Cardiff. Later in the day the gent from the garage called me back and asked if I was after a 5 seater or 7 seater which is a Grand Tourer not the Active that I had reserved. We actually wanted a 7 seater. The garage refunded our deposit straight away no question ask. Absolutely genuine garage which puts there customers first. I would definitely buy from them and would recommend there services. A Star.

I purchased my car from Southern Car Sales. A test drive was easily arranged and I was given the keys to drive by myself. There were a few issues with car which they agreed to deal with and adjusted the price accordingly. Friendly staff, easy to contact and generally a really easy dealer to do business with.

Fantastic experience
I have recently bought a car from Southern Car Sales and I can honestly say that I have been impressed with them from initial contact right the way through to driving away with my car!

They were pleasant, helpful and non pushy over the phone at the beginning when initially asking for info regarding the car I was interested in. There was no push to get a test drive booked etc which was fantastic as they are a fair drive from my location and I wanted weigh up my options before viewing.

When visiting the car they left me to look at it on my own, no standing over me, no pressure. They allowed me as much time as I needed to look it over and then allowed me to test drive at my own pace. I took it for a longer drive and they were more than happy letting me do what I needed to do.

Arriving back in the yard there was no pressure to make a decision and they left me alone whilst I talked it over on the phone with my partner.

The whole environment is one of no pressure and a friendly atmosphere which I really appreciate. I suffer with anxiety so was dreading the "used car sales man breathing down your neck" stereotype.

The car itself is exactly as expected and a fantastic price. The information on the website and over the phone was spot on. The car drives perfectly and was serviced before collection. It is absolutely spotless and drives perfectly.

I am incredibly impressed with every aspect of buying my new car and will definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking.

Straightforward and clear
I was looking for a specific model to replace our old car which was not suitable for trade-in. I had to travel the length of the country to visit SCS, so it was important that we agreed to basis of the purchase upfront and that the car was ready for collection on the day.

I checked SCS reviews and found good customer satisfaction, low pressue environment, so I called to discuss what I wanted and to agree everything from SCS disposing of my old vehicle for scrap for me to warranty to tac and my insurance requirements. I was able to reserve the vehicle by means of refundable deposit. The vehicle had been AA inspected and csme with AA breakdown cover. This all gave me peace of mind.

On arrival, I was given the chance to look over the car in my own time. Condition was good and in-line with age/price. I was given the opportunity to test drive and all was good.

The sales process was friendly, efficient and professional. I was able to register the warranty and AA cover easily when I got home. I had arranged for my own insurance to transfer so didn't need driveaway but it was available for me if necessary. SCS purchased the car tax for me (at my cost obviously).

I would recommend SCS. They happened to have the exact model I was looking for but carry a good level of stock for those as yet undecided.

For me it was important to be able to trust SCS to deliver as promised as I was coming such a long way. They did and were a pleasure to deal with.

Simple, relaxed and quality
We recently purchased a Volvo XC60 from here. It’s always a bit of nerve wracking experience buying a used car from somewhere you don’t know.

We saw the car online and went to see it, it was presented well and we were left for as long as we liked to have a look.

Funnily enough we had visited this place before and were a bit put off by the relaxed approach, we took it for not caring but That’s not the case at all.

It’s simply a relaxed and easy way to spend time with the car, make a decision and buy.

The thing I really liked is not having to barter, wondering if you got the ‘best’ deal. The price was the price and from what we could see it was very fair.

Since buying I’ve had the car looked at by a Volvo specialist whilst it’s in warranty justbfor peace of mind as I always do.

The car came back with a glowing report so we are very happy buyers.

I’d recommend these guys, they do what they say on the tin, no flashy annoying sales guys (back handed compliment I know) but they keep things simple and I wouldn’t hesitate from going back again in future.
